A Foggy Day in London Town

IMAGINE the streets of London. Pay attention for their cult fashion. Cult isn’t enough to describe their style. Awesomely eclectic from head to toe. They didn’t care about looking pretty, because they dare to look different. Bulky jacket, oversized shirt, velvet trousers, statement words on a t-shirt in pop colors, mismatches, deconstructed cuttings, and so on.
London street fashion, especially the hairstyles at London Fashion Week 2015, inspired Lie Kuang (Lie Kuang & Co. Creative Salon Semarang) on his collaboration with Sofie Design, at Jakarta Fashion Week 2016 last October. He created various hairstyles to suits Sofie’s edgy collection.
From soft copper brown and dark red ombre to blonde, short-textured, big curly ponytail to Punk style haircut. A very distinct Punk style you won’t believe the model got spikes on the hair. Literally. Lie Kuang has describes London pedestrians in those iconic fashionable streets as Oxford, Carnaby, Berwick or Sloane.
In my humble opinion, the Punk’s hairstyle represent British Subcultures in the 1960’s which start the anti-mainstream culture (remember “Anarchy in the UK”?). Encourage me to listen The Clash and The Sex Pistols on my playlist all day. \m/
